When the Europeans started “Krishna or Christ” assertions, Indians changed to “Christ and Krishna” surrenders! [2]

T K V Rajan with Jeyaraj, Loyola Principal 2010

Christ and Krishna exhibition continued (Feb.2012): The exhibition organized on Christ and Krishna, an archaeological journey, held by the Indian Science Monitor, reportedly provided more enchanting information about the hidden secrets of a distant age, beyond the images of excavations of skeletons corresponding to the size of Goliath as per the Biblical account[1].  The expo showcased milestones in the arduous effort to find corroborative evidence to the narratives found in the Bible and the Mahabaratha[2]. He added further, “My exhibition CHRIST AND KRISHNA was well received in a number of places[3]. It was through this exhibition that we show the archaeological sites connected with both of them[4]. We should do this exhibition in Coimbatore too. It’s a pure archaeological exhibition and visitors can get to see the image of the Lord Krishna coin issued by Indo Greek ruler Agathocles (the coin was discovered through the Ai Khanoum excavations in Afghanistan). Dr. Nanditha Krishna of the C.P.R Foundation was all praise for this when it was exhibited at Chennai some years ago. The exhibition also includes a number of images of sites connected with Lord Jesus Christ alongside pictures of places like the Prema Sarovara in Vrindavan where Lord Krishna met Radharani. Nanita Krishna was commenting upon the work of Rajan[5]. Western scholars tried to establish a connection between Krishna and Christ, claiming that the former was derived from St Thomas’ teachings about the latter, but literature and archaeology have proved otherwise[6].

T.K.V. Rajan and Christology linking St.Thomas myth: The activities, speeches and attempts of  TKV Rajan have been intriguing.

  1. He claimed, “My exhibition CHRIST AND KRISHNA was well received in a number of places[7].
  2. It was through this exhibition that we show the archaeological sites connected with both of them[8], i.e, Christ and Krishna.
  3. He claims that “Under the tutelage of Fr James at Loyola College, Chennai, TKV Rajan gathered biblical research.
  4. Between 2016 and 2019 I visited the USA and lectured on “Christ and Krishna -Archaeological Journey” at the Ramakrishna Vedanta Society in Dallas.
  5. He already appreciated that, “Archeologists in Europe have traced the precise spot of Jesus’s birth, St Peter’s house visited by Jesus, boats used during his time, his crucifix and even skeletons of giants who existed before the reign of King David. On the other hand, Hastinapur excavated in 1952, has not been touched again. There is so much to study in Kurukshetra and Mathura”.
  6. Fr. B. Jeyaraj, S.J., Principal, Loyola College was invited to inaugurate his exhibition and he commented that One should live to the ideals of Bhagavat Gita, which was given to the humanity by Lord Krishna.
  7. Nanita Krishna was commenting upon the work of Rajan[9]. Western scholars tried to establish a connection between Krishna and Christ, claiming that the former was derived from St Thomas’ teachings about the latter, but literature and archaeology have proved otherwise[10].
  8. Thus, the whole affair becomes murky and doudy with raising a reasonable question as to why all these have been batting for St.Thomas, Christ, etc.

He goes to Vaishnavite mutt and poses as a Vaishnavite, but, also tries to equate “Christ and Krishna”! Note, he puts Christ always before Krishna in his exhibitions, talks and publicities. As an archaeologist and researcher, he must have known the chronology and then he could not have put cart before the horse. The expression, putting cart before the horse connotes, “The expression cart before the horse is an idiom or proverb used to suggest something is done contrary to a conventional or culturally expected order or relationship”. And he had done and perhaps doing.

Krishna or Christ, or Christ and Chrishna?: Here, I quote the following from K.V. Ramakrishna Rao about the issue[11]:

“In India, the Christian mind was terribly upset by the Puranic narratives of Flood, the Fish God saviour of the humanity, Narayana – the protecting and Saviour God, Christna, Chrishna or Krishna[12] and other related concepts.

From C.F.C. Volney[13] to J. M. Robertson[14], the “Krishna-Christ” binary archetypes baffled the Christologists. Therefore, after discussing and debating about the religious necessity of keeping one God for India with the choice between “Krishna” and “Christ”, the colonial theologians decided to impose the imported Christ replacing Krishna[15]……..John P. Jones[16] carried out his tirade against Krishna delivering lectures at the Andover, Hale, Harvard and other theological seminaries and at the Western Reserve University in 1902 and it was later published as a book entitled “India’s Problem Krishna or Christ”. His tirade against the Hindu religion had been acrimonious, vitrupous and blasphemous, couched with the missionary style of presentation.

TKV rajan - Christ or Krishna, inter-faith presentation!

  1. ……….worship of Krishna and is given to the indulgence of poisonous and characterized by gross licentiousness[17].
  2. …………….cult of Bhakti is connected with Krishnalatory which is the worship of the most unworthy and licentious god of Hindu pantheon[18].
  3. There is no finality of blessing supposed…………………Krishna representing the worst type of sensuality and moral obliquity[19].

TKV Rajan batting for Jesus Christ.Bible archaeology

Thus, the nature of Krishna and Krishna worship are characterized as follows:

  • The worship of Krishna is Krishnalatory
  • It is given to the indulgence of poisonous.
  • It is characterized by gross licentiousness.
  • It is the most unworthy
  • It is that of licentious god of Hindu pantheon.
  • Krishna representing the worst type of sensuality
  • Krishna representing the worst type ofmoral obliquity.

M A Venkatakrishnan, TKV, T S Krishnamurthy, Karthikeyan

Therefore, the Christian hatred, acrimony and virulent attacks are revealing. The same language is only transformed to arrogant language as “…………………the church ignores nothing that is sacred on the earth……………..” (emphasis added), yet, the naïve, gullible, meek, mild and knave Hindus continued to be so, in spite of all onslaughts, inquisition and verbal terrorism. Thus, the elite Vaishnavites of Tamilnadu go on appreciate the comparative study of Christianity and Vaishnavism, Christ and Krishna, Mother Goddess and divine goddess etc., without knowing or understanding their minds. It is not that one Jesuit appreciates and another Jesuit depreciates or deprecates; glorifies and blasphemes; praises and denigrates…….but, the strategy, as practised a tactic by the trained Christian priests is pointed out. Having recorded explicitly[20] that, “……it would be sacrilege to compare the character of any one of them (Hindu Gods) with the wonderful incarnation of Jesus”, what is the fun of again and again to compare Jesus with Krishna or Christ with Krishna? Even today books are coming out making such comparisons[21]. When the Christians have already declared that it is “beyond compare”, what is the compromise made by writers to compare?”

TKV Rajan as Vaishavite

Conclusion: Time and again, unfortunately, educated elite Hindus only fall prey to the sophisticated, well-trained and expertise Christians. Of course, they would be members of the Society of Jesus, but, the meek, mild naïve Hindus do not have such organizations. Many times, Hindus compromise for some benefits, foreign visit, an invitation for a talk, and such other thing, without understanding the nuances of “dialogue,” inter and intra religious dialogues and the processes of inculturation.  The case of TKV Rajan could not have been exceptional, as he has been a knowledgeable and well-aware of person. He goes to Vaishnaviite mutts, moves with Acharya donning traditional dress and sporting sandal paste on his forehead, but, gives lecture on the Christ and Bible with suit-boot-coat attire with books in his armpit, as if, going for a theological war. Therefore, it is unbelievable that he was not aware of the well-researched books written by Constantin-Volney, Charles Dupuis, David Friedrich Strauss, John Remsburg, Arthur Drews, William B. Smith, Paul-Louis Couchoud, J.M.Robertson, and others. Unless, he tells, one could know what happened to him. But, he has affected Hindus and Hindu religion , but compromising, collaborating and co-operating with such comparative studies.

Mary, krishna, inculturation

Introduction – Myth of Thomas linked with Christ and floated in India: After 1980s, the English speaking elite Indians and Hindus knowingly or unknowingly involved in the comparison of “Krishna and Christ.” In their Vaishnavite approach to the inter-religious dialogue, the Christian adapted and adopted such myths to rouse the passion of devout Hindus at one side and beat them at the other side declaring that Krishna was Christ! As for as Tamilnadu and Madras / Chennai are concerned, such groups cleverly worked and created rapport with the Vaishnavites of Chennai and Sri Rangam. Francis Xavious Clooney has been the major role played and still playing with the Vaishnavite professors, exerts and bigwigs like M. A. Anathakrishnan, Kannan, V.K.S.N.Raghavan, Velukkudi Krishnan, Agnihotram Ramanujachariyar, Booma Gopalan, and others.

The cultural and archaeological exhibition titled ‘Enchanting Krishna’ (August 2010): T.K.V. Rajan, Editor, The Indian Science Monitor, who organised the exhibition, said several principles preached in the Gita were prescribed as a subject in modern-day business management studies. The objective of the exhibition was to correlate Harappan sites with that of Mahabharata sites in the country. A four-day cultural and archaeological exhibition titled ‘Enchanting Krishna’ was inaugurated here on Monday. Aug. 30, 2010. The exhibition was open between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. at Madurai Meenakshi Bhavan Hotel Complex, G.N. Chetty Road, near Vani Mahal, till Thursday[1]. Speaking after the inauguration, Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali said all religions preached tolerance and brotherhood. Indians were a peace-loving community and the Muslims in India were happy unlike their brethren in neighbouring countries, he said. His ancestors lived a harmonious life with members of other community. This was evident by their generous donation of large areas of lands for constructing more than 300 temples in southern India as well as educational institutions by Christian missionaries[2]. One should live to the ideals of Bhagavat Gita, which was given to humanity by Lord Krishna, said Rev. Fr. B. Jeyaraj, S.J., Principal, Loyola College[3]. Whatever was required for human beings had been mentioned in the Gita, he said[4]. It is not known as to TKV Rajan knew the agenda of Vatican Council-II or not.

Christ and Krishna - books produced
Exhibition on the scientific discoveries on Christ and Krishna (Februrary 2012): When TKV Rajan organized an exhibition on “Christ and Krishna,” the Times of India reported in this way[5] – “While the Western world has been doing cutting edge research on Jesus Christ and the Bible, India lags far behind in tracing the legacy, life and times of its kings and heroes, feel archaeologists”. Scientists have discovered the sunken city of Dwaraka, but Krishna still remains more of a mythological figure, they add, mostly because of lack of manpower and funds. “We should start treating our epics as history, not legends. There is enough scientific evidence for this, and a lot more needs to be done,” says T K V Rajan, an archaeologist now organizing an exhibition on the scientific discoveries on Christ and Krishna at Parvati Art Gallery on Eldams Road[6]. “We hardly try connecting our finds to our epics. We find a pot, tank or inscription, but we do not bother to join the dots,” says Rajan.

Dwaraka, S R Rao, NIO

Archaeologists and ocean scientists made a sensational discovery of Dwaraka under the Gulf of Khambat in 2001 and of coins with imprints of Lord Krishna and Balarama, issued by an Indo Greek king in Afghanistan. But precious little was done as follow-up. “Archeologists in Europe have traced the precise spot of Jesus’s birth, St Peter’s house visited by Jesus, boats used during his time, his crucifix and even skeletons of giants who existed before the reign of King David. On the other hand, Hastinapur excavated in 1952, has not been touched again. There is so much to study in Kurukshetra and Mathura,” says Rajan. Dr T Sathyamoorthy, the former superintending archaeologist with the Archaeological Survey of India, says there is scarce interest in the subject. “In the south, there is virtually no college that offers archaeology as a subject or course. Not many people come for excavations. The northern states are slightly better, but most of the archaeologists don’t study the epics deeply enough,” says Sathyamoorthy. Dr R Nagaswamy, former director of the state department of archaeology, says while Puranas are treated as legends, the Bible is taught as history, with dates. “Now we can trace Lord Krishna back to 1700BC, but we don’t have many people studying epics and Puranas with a chronological sense,” he says.

TKV rajan - do these videos making myth

Many sites belonging to Mahabharata unearthed (December 2008): T K V Rajan, archaeologist and founder-director, Indian Science Monitor, who is holding a five-day exhibition, on search of Lord Krishna,’ in the city from Saturday, December 28, 2008, gave these details:

  1. The conch and the Sudarshana Chakra are unmistakable. Although the figures do not match popular images of Kirshna sporting a peacock feather, archaeologists are convinced that the coins are of Krishna, revered as an avatar of Vishnu.
  2. “These square coins, dating back to 180- BC, with Krishna on one side and Balram on the other, were unearthed recently in Al Khanoun in Afghanistan and are the earliest proof that Krishna was venerated as a god, and that the worship had spread beyond the Mathura region,” says
  3. Having done extensive research in Brindavan, Rajan is convinced that a lot of the spiritual history of ancient India lies buried. “Close to 10,000 Greeks, who came in the wake of Alexander the Great, were Krishna’s devotees. There is an inscription by Heliodorus, the Greek ambassador at Takshila, which reads Deva, deva, Vasudeva. Krishna is my god and I have installed this Garuda Pillar at Bes Nagar (now in Bihar),‘” says Rajan.
  4. According to him the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has unearthed many sites that throw fresh light on the era of Krishna. “ASI is expected to release the full findings next year. Many of the unearthed artifacts have a close resemblance to materials of what is believed to be the Harappan civilisation. The findings may show that Krishna’s life was the dividing line between India’s spiritual history and the society’s gradual shift towards a materialistic one,” says Rajan.
  5. Interestingly, a lot of what has been uncovered closely resemble the narration in the texts of Mahabharatha and the Bhagavatham,” he adds. Both the spiritual works are revered by the Hindus as their holy books.
  6. It has been over five years since the discoveries were made at Tholavira near Dwaraka, close to Kutch.
  7. Much progress has been made due to the application of thermoluminous study (TL) in ascertaining the age of the artifact. “It is possible to get the diffusion of atomic particles in the clay pottery unearthed and arrive at an accurate date,” points out Rajan. Tholavira itself is believed to be the capital city as detailed in the opening chapters of Bhagavatham[7].
  8. Rajan points to an image of a plough, made of wood, which is mentioned in the Bhagavatham[8].
  9. The findings could lay a trail to understanding Krishna’s life (said to be 5,000 years ago) and times, as a historical fact, says Rajan.

The exhibition will be open till December 31 at Sri Parvathy Gallery, Eldams Road. Here, it may be noted that already done work, published books, much-discussed coins and inscriptions for the last 50-100 years, are taken by him and assertions made as mentioned above, creating an impression as if he did all the work.

TKV Rajan batting for Jesus Christ

Supporting Aryan-Dravidian race theories: Ironically, in other U-tube talks, he believes in pseudo-scientific, discarded race theories, and thus argues for Dravidians, accepting Aryan race. He takes pro-Tamil stance also. Yet, he bats for “Akhanda Bharat” and “Christ.” Even Romila Thapar has accepted that the race theories are unscientific and no historian believes in race. The UN passed a resolution that the word race should not be used. However, Rajan uses such expression in Tamil and interprets the linguistic processes in the racial connotation. Therefore, it is not known what has made him to contradict,  and continue to lecture such mythical and unhistorical narratives under the guise of archaeology and so on.  More surprise has been that such video talks have been prepared by the Pande company. Anyway, if the disown historical claims, t= let them enjoy such funs.

“The Myth of St. Thomas in India” – the greatest historical fraud in the world

“The Myth of St. Thomas in India” – the greatest historical fraud in the world
Published on November 25th, 2007 In Uncategorized, Blogging, Philosophy | Views 1095 <!– by Vedaprakash –>

“The myth of St. Thomas in India” has been the greatest historical fraud in India and the world also and the historians have been shameless even to question such myth. Instead, they go on promote such myth aiding and abetting, as is evident from appearing so-called “research papers” in the proceedings of South indian History Congress, Tamilnadu history congress, textboks etc. It is a blot on historians, whenever, that fraud is perpetuated, nurtured or quoted in the name of history.

So I post the following article of K. P. Sunil appeared in 1987, which has bearing on the subject matter.

Archbishop Arulappa Makes History 1

By K.P. Sunil

Ganesh Iyer, Sri Rangam

Ganesh Iyer, Sri Rangam

The case has been closed. And the dramatis personae prefer to maintain a studied silence. For fear that a post-mortem would reveal hidden cadavers in their cupboards. For even a superficial examination of the fraud that shook the foundations of the Catholic Church in Madras in the late seventies and early eighties indicates that a lot of embarrassing details have been swept under the mat.

Reverend Dr. R. Arulappa, former archbishop of the Madras diocese, who claims to have been duped by one Acharya Paul, also known as Ganesh Iyer, is ill. Incapacitated by serious cardiac problems. In fact, it is his ill-health that forced him to retire from his post as head of the diocese. So the infamous scandal had to be pieced together from court records, police files and the ramblings of the main character-Ganesh Iyer.

It all began in the early seventies. Ganesh Iyer, who had adopted the Christian faith and was a self-styled Bible preacher known as John Ganesh, went to Tiruchi in the course of his evangelical journeys and met a Catholic priest Father Michael of the Tamil Illakiya Kazhagam (Tamil Literary Society). He is reported to have presented himself to the priest as Dr. John Ganesh, professor of philosophy and comparative religions at the Banaras university, and recently returned from Jammu and Kashmir where he was involved in research on Christianity in India. Michael put him on to another priest, Father Mariadas of Sriviliputhur.

John Ganesh impressed Mariadas with his mastery over Christian theology. He showed him copies of notices extolling him as a speaker. He reportedly produced letters written to him by various scholars in the fields of education and religion. He is also reported to have shown Mariadas photographs of palm leaf writings and copper plate inscriptions several centuries old.

These documents, he reportedly claimed, traced the origins and development of the Christian faith in India. Since further research on the subject required money which John Ganesh claimed not to have, Mariadas took upon himself the task of locating funds for the project the successful completion of which, he felt, would provide a shot in the arm for Christianity in India.

Mariadas gave John Ganesh something in the range of Rs. 22,000 toward the research. And as his own funds were depleted, he introduced the researcher to the head of the Catholic Church in Madras, R. Arulappa.

thomas-myth-manufacturers-Ganesh Iyer etc

Arulappa was a Tamil scholar who also had the reputation of being a researcher. He had translated the New Testament into Tamil and set to tune the Book of Psalms. He had also rendered in Tamil the life of Christ, Ulagin Uyir ( A The Life of the World ). He had learned Sanskrit and translated several Christian tenets into that language. He had also done extensive research on Tirukkural, the creation of the Tamil bard, Tiruvalluvar.

Tiruvalluvar is known to modern generations through his immortal literature. The exact time of his existence is lost in the mists of the hoary past. Some historians believe Tiruvalluvar to be a product of the early Sangam period in Tamil literature, several centuries before Christ. The Tamil Nadu government bases its calendar on the year of his birth. For this purpose, it is assumed that Tiruvalluvar was born exactly 2018 years ago, i.e. in the first century before Christ. Some literary experts place Tiruvalluvar in the first century after Christ, others date him 300 years after.

Just as little is known about Tiruvalluvar”s origins, his religious beliefs are also shrouded in some mystery. Attempts have been made, going by the precepts contained in his verse, to speculate about his religion. While he is widely believed to have been a Hindu and the Tirukkural considered a revered Hindu scripture, other religions too have staked a claim on him. Since the Tirukkural enshrines the ideals of ahimsa , dharma and asceticism, many experts consider Tiruvalluvar to have been considerably influenced by Jain thought.

A recent paper presented by Dr. S. Padmanabhan makes Tiruvalluvar out to be a Hindu chieftain from the Kanyakumari district. Archbishop Arulappa felt that the Tirukkural was so profound and filled with compassionate sentiments that it must have been influenced by early Christian missionaries who came to South India in the first century after Christ, notably St. Thomas, one of the apostles of Christ.

The Christian Church of India, considered to be amongst the oldest in the world, is believed to have been founded by St. Thomas in 52 A.D. Arulappa held the view that St. Thomas, before his martyrdom on a hill near Madras, now called St. Thomas Mount, met Tiruvalluvar and influenced the bard to the extent of converting him to the nascent faith. The theory had been propounded. What remained to be obtained was proof of such an occurrence.

It was this that Ganesh Iyer, posing as John Ganesh, reportedly promised to unearth for the archbishop.

Since this suited the archbishop”s scheme and since Arulappa was convinced that Ganesh was in a position to ferret out the evidence necessary to prove his pet theory, he engaged him to take up the research. The archbishop was apparently lulled into complacency by Ganesh”s mastery of Christian theology and his apparent sincerity of purpose. As if establishing a nexus between St. Thomas and Tiruvalluvar were not enough, John Ganesh also informed the archbishop that he could bring evidence that the three wise men from the East who prophesied the birth of Christ were none other than the epic Hindu sages, Vasistha, Viswamithra and Agasthya.

In 1975-76, John Ganesh began his research. And the archbishop started funding the same.

Ganesh produced photographs of palm leaf writings and copper plate inscriptions at periodic intervals. When the archbishop asked to see the originals, he was informed that they were stashed away in the safe custody of the archaeological departments and museums all over the country. It would therefore, not be possible to persuade these agencies to part with the priceless documents. He, however, promised to get his photographs authenticated by the respective agencies themselves. Thereafter, all photographs produced by Ganesh Iyer before the archbishop bore seals of the museums and departments from which he claimed to have obtained them.

Using the funds provided by the archbishop, Ganesh Iyer made a pretence of travelling extensively. It was a well-orchestrated programme. He would first inform the archbishop that he was going to Kashmir in connection with his research.

Next, the archbishop would receive letters from some Christian and Hindu religious heads in Kashmir informing him that they had come across Ganesh Iyer or, as he now called himself, Acharya Paul. The letters spoke in superlative terms about his sincerity of purpose and his noble research.

Whatever doubts the archbishop may have entertained about his researcher vanished in the face of these letters from eminent personages. More money changed hands. Though he was quite poor when he first met the archbishop, by the time he was through, Iyer had his own house in Srirangam. He owned two cars. He had purchased considerable gold jewellery for his wife and daughters. He had substantial deposits in banks in his name.

Most of the funds for the research had come from individuals and organisations abroad. If Iyer is to be believed, the archbishop even made out his personal car in Iyer”s name for a nominal Rs. 25,000. .i.Iyer;Iyer himself claims that he had not paid anything.

Questions were being asked around this time about the large sums of money being given to Acharya Paul for his research. The sceptics demanded proof that something tangible, that would benefit Christianity in the long run, had indeed been achieved. Only the archbishop”s pre-eminence prevented a direct confrontation.

Ganesh Iyer met Pope at Vatican

In 1976, Iyer obtained a passport in the name of Acharya Paul. In 1977, accompanied by the archbishop, he went abroad. To the Vatican, among other places, where he had a lengthy audience with Pope Paul VI. The duo then visited several religious congregations and spoke about comparative religions. Everywhere he went, he spoke about the origins of Christianity in India and about his A monumental research while the archbishop displayed the evidence. Money was collected for funding further research.

Ganesh Iyer met Pope at Vatican.Arulappa took him

During their absence from India, individuals inimical to John Ganesh had organised themselves into a powerful force. Even as he was relaxing in his home in Srirangam after his return, the archbishop was pressurised to file a complaint with the police. That he had been duped by Ganesh Iyer who had claimed to be a bachelor, but was in reality a married man. That he had defrauded the archbishop to the tune of around Rs. 14 lakhs in the name of research into Christianity.

Investigations into the sordid episode began. The police, led initially by Inspector Seshadri and later by Inspector Chandraya-perumal, searched Iyer”s residence. They unearthed the A originals of all the photographs produced by Iyer as proof of his research-writings on strips of brown paper cut to resemble medieval palm frond writings, pasted on sheets of white paper. The police learnt that the photographs had been taken at a studio in Tiruchi and this led to the seizure of all the relevant negatives.

The police discovered how the photographs had been authenticated by various institutions-seals and rubber stamps of all the concerned institutions were lying in Iyer”s home. Letter-heads bearing the names of various Hindu and Christian scholars were recovered. The letters purported to have been received by Iyer from these personages, which he allegedly used to dupe Mariadas and later the archbishop, were declared to be clever forgeries by the state handwriting expert Srinivasan. The writing on these and the writing on the brown paper, though cleverly disguised, compared favourably with Iyer”s specimen. Account books showing details of amounts received from the archbishop and the amounts spent by him were recovered.

Iyer”s antecendents were thoroughly investigated and it was proved that he was a middle school dropout, not having studied beyond standard seven. Further confirmation was obtained from the Banares university that they did not have Dr. John Ganesh on their staff either teaching or doing research into philosophy and comparative religions.

The police case was complete. On April 29, 1980, Iyer was arrested and placed under remand, while prosecution proceedings were instituted under sections 419 (cheating by impersonation), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 465 (forgery), 471 (using as genuine a forged document), 473 (making and possessing counterfeit seals with intent to commit forgery) of the Indian Penal Code and under section 12-B of the Indian Passports Act (obtaining a passport supplying false information).

Archbishop Arulappa testified against Iyer before the court. Iyer initially pleaded innocence, but later admitted to the fraud on all counts. He prayed that in view of his advancing age and critical family circumstances, he be shown leniency.

On February 6, 1986, P. Aruvudayappan, second metropolitan magistrate, Madras, delivered his judgment in case number 100087/82: A Taking advantage of the soft attitudes of public witnesses 2 and 3 (Father Mariadas and Father Arulappa), he averred, A the defendant (Ganesh Iyer) had taken from them about Rs. 13.5 lakhs between 1975 and 1980. This has been clearly established. Taking into consideration the nature of the offences, the defendant is being held guilty under various sections of the I.P.C. and has to undergo 10 months imprisonment and 5 month”s rigorous imprisonment under section 12-B of the Indian Passports Act. These sentences are to run concurrently. He had been arrested on April 29, 1980 and let off on bail on June 27, 1980. These 59 days of imprisonment are to be deducted from the total sentence as required under section 428 of the code of criminal procedure.

The magistrate”s judgment notwithstanding, doubts still linger. Why were the archbishop”s suspicions not aroused until he had handed over a whopping Rs. 13,49,250 (according to records, though Iyer claims to have received far in excess of that sum) on a spurious research project? Why had the archbishop not bothered to verify the authenticity of the A documents produced by Iyer with the museums and other institutions concerned, directly? Why did he not bother to accompany Iyer to the actual site of his A research when he had found time to accompany him to Rome, the Vatican, Germany, France, Spain, the United States?

With the archbishop still indisposed, answers to these questions are not forthcoming.

What is even more curious is that even as criminal proceedings against Iyer were in progress in the magistrate”s court, a civil suit for a compromise had been filed in the Madras high court. The compromise decree was taken up immediately after the conclusion of the criminal case. Since Iyer had admitted the offence, his jail term was reduced to a mere two months imprisonment. And since he had already served 59 days of remand, this period was adjusted against the sentence.

r-arulappa-biodata

In other words, Iyer, who had defrauded the archbishop to the tune of about Rs. 14 lakhs, was let off without any further punishment. He was ordered to forfeit all claim on the money given to him by the archbishop. Accordingly, the ornaments and money seized from him by the police were returned to the archbishop. As part of the compromise, Iyer was allowed to retain the large bungalow he had purchased with the archbishop”s money.

A I agreed to this compromise because there was nothing else I could do, says Iyer. His viewpoint in understandable. For, going by the lower court”s verdict, he would have not only had to serve 5 months of rigorous imprisonment, but would have automatically had to forfeit all his properties including the house. Why the archbishop agreed to the compromise is not understandable.

Today Ganesh Iyer lives on the first floor of his house in Srirangam—the lower portion is let out on rent, enabling him to receive a monthly income. He is by no means affluent, but is certainly a far cry from the penury to which his family and he would have been consigned, if it were not for the compromise. Father Arulappa is convalescing, recovering from a major surgery. He has handed over the mantle of archbishop to Reverend G. Casimir on A health grounds .

And the case, though officially closed, remains in many minds, an unsolved mystery.

Is Indian Christianity built on frauds and forgeries?

http://vedaprakash.indiainteracts.in/2007/11/24/christianity-in-india-historical-frauds/I find the following write-up which gives connecting details of historical frauds carried on by the Christians, of course other details about the Christian healing centre, which has been in news for alleged killing of many and disposing the bodies.

The Indian historians have to respond how such questionable activities have been going on in the name of history and all historians are keeping quite?

Christian faith healing mafia centre in Kerala secretly cremated murdered bodies

If you think ‘COMA’ type stories are possible only in the Western world, think again.  In

Kerala, the church is involved in murders of the christian faithful, who come to their faith

healing centre.  Recently in Tamil Nadu, four bishops stole Rs 40 crore meant for the

Tsunami victims and some of them are arrested under goondas act.  Kidney sale is a fact

in Tamil Nadu and some 500 poor persons were forced to sell their kidneys to the christian

hospitals operating there.

On 10 March 2006, the Kerala High Court issued an order with an ultimatum to the

government to make a thorough investigation on the public allegation against the Christian

Divine Retreat Centre in Muringoor in Kerala state, India. Justice Padmananbhan Nair has

ordered the government to make a thorough investigation about sexual abuse, homicide,

foreign exchange violation, forceful conversion, abduction, intimidation and imprisonment

of unwilling residents at the center.  The court decided to conduct the inquiry after

receiving a complaint from a former christian employee of the centre.  Some of the

inmates had made two video CDs and sent a letter to the court for necessary action

against the christian faith racket that was going on in Kerala with political and police

protection.  Divine Retreat Centre, started in the eighties, is a christian mafia faith healing

centre.  For several years, the general public and civic leaders have complained against

Muringoor Christian center about the foreign currency violation, sex abuse, misdemeanor,

felony, forceful conversion, murder, rape and abduction and medical malpractice

committed at the center. The Kerala christian Churches are organized on the lines of

Italian mafia and have undue influence on the government and government officials have

turned a deaf year to the public plea against the anti social activities at the Center.

Reluctantly, government has appointed IG Winson M Paul to investigate the Muringoor

Divine center.  The Marxist communist government of Kerala ordered only a partial

investigation for fear of Christian backlash.

One of the Muringoor Divine Center Director George Panackal filed a law suit demanding

one crore rupees for the police investigation and the High Court had dismissed the

frivolous law suit.  Pinaroy Vijayan, General Secretary of the Marxist communist Party,

who was recently caught with live cartridges at Chennai airport, paid a visit to the Center

and praised and admired their activities in public thus endorsing their illegal activities.

Many inmates were murdered for their wealth and the centre used to secretly cremate

murdered bodies at the corporation graveyard in Kalamassery. Divine Retreat Centre is

involved in illegal foreign funding to criminal and other activities.  Many inmates were gone

missing from this christian mafia centre over the years.  It has been stated that almost

twenty bodies have been burnt in the last four years alone. Dasan, the watchman of the

corporation graveyard in Kalamassery said that he used to get Rs 750 for burning each

body and that it was the same person who used to bring the bodies from the divine centre

always. A christian doctor, Dr Thankamma Francis of the divine centre was the doctor who

always used to issue death certificate to all those bodies cremated secretly.  It should be

noted that christians are not cremated in Kerala and are buried.  The police investigation

was carried out in Divine Retreat Centre on 30 September and 1 October 2006.

Sonia Gandhi had put christians in many states as the Inspector General of Police and

Kerala is also a christian by name Winson M. Paul.  The Kerala government had put

Page 2

Winson M. Paul for enquiring the illegal activities in the Divine faith healing centre and

constituted a police team under him based on the court directive. Several public servants

such as Inspectors General of Police and the wife of a State Minister are closely

associated with the functioning of the Divine Centre. They are also members of the

Advisory Body of the centre.  A group of senior IAS, IPS and other government officials of

Kerala are working behind this “underworld” operations of the faith healing centre. This

centre receives huge funds from the Social Welfare Department of Kerala government.

Some 9000 people are on the voters list of the christian faith healing centre.

The congress party in India is christian controlled.  The Italian catholic christian, Antonia

Maino alias Sonia Gandhi is the president of the congress party of India.   The congress

party of Kerala state is headed by a christian who is a front man of a Dubai based audio

video piracy firm that operates on a much bigger scale worldwide than that of Dawood

Ibrahim’s set up in Dubai. Christian politicians of Kerala like Umman Chandi and K.M.Mani

were funded by this centre.  Congress party members boycotted the Kerala assembly

proceedings when police raided the christian faith healing centre in Muringoor, Kerala.

The christian leaders like K M Mani tried to paint that police misbehaved towards christian

patients including women at the centre to divert the public attention from the main issue of

dozens of murders in the christian faith healing centre. The christian K.M. Mani was a

former law minister and claimed that police violated norms in the Criminal Procedure Code

and harassed HIV/AIDS patients who were being cured at the Divine faith healing centre.

K. M. Mani, on 3 October 2006 at the Divine Retreat Centre stated that the faith healing

centre has become an oasis for the poor, sick people abandoned by medical science and

a home of refuge for the mentally challenged people. He said that he always visited the

centre as he also felt mentally challenged at times.

After cornering the private education field in Kerala with the political clout, the Kerala

christians are now concentrating on medical field to raise funds for the christian

conversion work going on in India manned by the Kerala christians.  With the advent of

AIDS the christian church concentrated on faith healing to make money.  The faith healing

centers are a method to extract the last drop of blood from AIDS patients, drug addicts

and the like. The christian priests and nuns, who form the slave labor force of the church

runs educational institutions and medical centers. The christian priest Fr.Augustine

Vallooran, a Director of Divine Retreat Centre was arrested by the police.

A Christian fanatic has issued a death threat to Justice Padmanabhan Nair for ordering

the state government to probe the unlawful and anti social activities of the Muringoor

Christian Divine Center. The Marxist endorsement reinforced the Center to continue illegal

activities and motivated the Christian extremist to issue death threat against Justice

Padmananbhan Nair. The death threat was sent to Justice Padmanabhan Nair from an

Ernakulum Telephone Booth. The death threat was specifically made to Justice

Padmanabhan Nair warning him that he will be murdered for ordering investigation against

the illegal activities and forceful homicide at the Christian Divine Center. The death threat

against Justice Padmanabhan Nair shows the danger to India from the radical Christianity

of India and its unholy nexus between the Marxist Party.

Page 3

The Kerala christians, who call themselves as Syrian christians and claim that they are

decedents of Brahmin converts of St. Thomas, are the typical example of the christian

frauds.  The history of Christianity is crowded with crimes against humanity of the most

horrendous kind.    As many as 23,000 blatant forgeries and foisting of pious frauds were

done by christians. Starting with Jesus Christ, the entire doctrinal and institutional edifice

of Christianity rests on a series of staggering swindles and lies. The book ‘Native life of

Travancore’ written by The Rev. Samuel Mateer F L S  and published in 1883 have a

chapter called Syrian Christians from page 158.  Rev. Samuel Mateer while traveling

throughout Kerala had stayed in many places and had talked with many of the Kerala

Syrian christians.  He found that none of the converts have heard of Jesus Christ and

does not know why a cross was being worshiped.  Kotarakara Syrian church doorway was

sketched in his book and it shows a cock engraved along with the cross and armed

figures.  The book clearly indicates that the Syrian Christians of Kerala are the

untouchable Hindu caste called ‘Paraya community’ converts.  The marriageable ages of

boys were 10 years, and that of the girls were 7 years.  The married couple can enter the

house only after ‘nellum niram’ and with the lamp in the hand of the girl.  The women

make ‘kurava’ a shrill cry during this time.  Fasting for the dead are kept for a year by a

relative in the family. Syrian Christians consult sorcerers and offerings are made to the

demons (Hindu Gods).  When the head of the untouchable Hindu Paraya  community is

dead, as per the customary caste law of Parayas, they bury the corpus of the deceased

head Parayas or moopan  in sitting posture instead of the usual practice of keeping the

dead body in lying position. Primitive burial practices of Parayas are still being practiced

by the Syrian christians in Kerala.  The Syrian Christians of Kerala bury the corpse of their

christian bishops in the same manner as the Hindu Parayas who bury their head Parayas

or Moopan.  The historical records and even the burial patterns show that Syrian

christians of Kerala are Paraya converts. Syrian Christians of Kerala maintained the ritual

of offering obsequies for the souls of the dead ancestors as that of the practice of

Parayas.  The obsequies for the dead ancestors contained blood, flesh and intoxicating

drinks. These are all typical local Kerala customs of Paraya community.  Pope Benedict

XVI in 2006 said that St Thomas had preached Christianity in “western” India and did not

visit Kerala.  The Kerala Paraya christian converts created two conflicting stories to show

that they are of higher Hindu caste converts to Christianity.  One group of Paraya

christians, created a story that they were converts of Brahmins, by St. Thomas who had

arrived in Kerala in 52AD.  This fake St. Thomas story is proved to be a fraud after the

present Nazi Pope Joseph Ratzinger, who was a Hitler Youth and head of Opus Dei, told

that St. Thomas visited the present Pakistan and never went to Kerala.  This crooked

Paraya christians of Kerala operating from Tamil Nadu even created martyrdom for St.

Thomas in Chennai, in a fake story in which st. Thomas was killed by a Brahmin.  They

destroyed the Kapileswara temple near the seashore with the help of Europeans and

constructed a St. Thomas church using some of the temple stones.  These Paraya

christians of Kerala created a St. Thomas mount in Chennai from where they are now

selling sacred Thomas sand by the kilos, claiming that Thomas walked all over that area.

Another group of Paraya christian converts of Kerala claims that they are refugees from

Syria in AD 352, and created fake copper agreements in Portuguese language from

Kerala Kings to prove their arrival etc. The Paraya christians of Kerala, and the terrorist

muslims of Kerala migrated to Tamil Nadu to further their activities.  Christians along with

Page 4

the British created and propagated the Aryan invasion theory which convinced the black

Tamils that they are an inferior community different from the fair Brahmins.  This

propaganda has created a Dravidian movement in Tamil Nadu and created Tamil

Terrorists like E.V. Ramasami Naicker also known as Periyar or EVR.  In Tamil Nadu and

Kerala many dirty criminal Christian frauds happened.   The International Institute of Tamil

Studies, sponsored and funded by the Government of Tamil Nadu, had published in 1985

86 a book titled Viviliyam,   Tirukkural, Shaiva Siddhantam Oppu Ayu. The writer of the

book was a Christian by name M. Deivanayakam. The University of Madras had conferred

a doctor’s degree on the author for writing this dissertation. The thesis propounded by him

was that the ancient Tamil saint, Tiruvalluvar, had become a disciple of St. Thomas and

converted to Christianity.    N. Krishnaswami Reddiar, a retired judge’ of the high court

denounced Deivanayakam’s book as “trash in the name of research.”  The visit of St.

Thomas to India was a myth, and wondered how a book like that by Deivanayakam could

be published by an institute set up by the Government and honored by the University of

Madras with a doctorate. Dr. R. Nagaswami, eminent archaeologist, also censored the

institute and the university for sponsoring a spurious thesis, and said that the St. Thomas

story “was a ruse to spread Christianity in India which is now confirmed by the Pope

himself. Deivanayakam had collaborated with Dr. R. Arulappa, the Catholic Archbishop of

Madras, in writing another but similar book, Perinbu Villakku, published in 1975. The

Archbishop had also tried to prove that Tiruvalluvar had come in contact with St. Thomas

during the latter’s travels in South India, and converted to Christianity. But he had gone

much further, and forged ‘evidence’ on palmleaf scrolls in support of his thesis. He had

employed a Hindu scholar of Christianity, Ganesh Iyer, for this purpose, and paid him to

the tune of 15 lakh rupees. The fraud had been exposed when someone put the police on

the trail of Ganesh Iyer. The case had dragged on in the Madras metropolitan court from

1980 to 1986 when Ganesh Iyer was sentenced to ten months’ imprisonment on various

counts. But Dr. Arulappa had got him acquitted by means of a civil suit for compromise

filed in the Madras High Court at the same time that the criminal case was going on.

Ganesh Iyer had spilled the beans soon after.

Christian Slave traders of yesterday are the human rights activists of today.  Christianity a

trillion dollar business built on fraud and Greatest Cover Up in History.  Christians are a

fifth column community in India.  Kerala Paraya Christians moved in to Tamil Nadu to

create fake histories because they found that Tamilians left in Tamil Nadu have low IQ or

no IQ at all.  Nehru’s illegitimate child was growing up in a christian orphanage in

Bangalore, and this enabled them to blackmail Nehru to allow the missionaries to have

conversion by gun, in the North East states of India.  Antonia Maino coming from the

lowest strata of Italy and an illiterate girl, working as a barmaid in UK was presented by

Opus Dei and KGB in front of Rajiv Gandhi to continue the hold of christians in India.

Christians who worked as the agents of the British were en masse killed in Delhi, during

the first war of Independence in 1857.  Recently christian members of Indian Parliament

elected from all states had attended a meeting of a christian terrorist group of North

Eastern states. This christian terrorist group of North East calls for the creation of christian

nations out of North East India and the christian MPs promised them help.  Recently

Manipur’s congress party chief minister Ibobi Singh donated Rs 1.5 Crore to christian

separatists.  US Senator Barbara Boxer and ex President Jimmy Carter calls for Nagaland

to secede from India.  You have to understand that the Christian missionaries and

Page 5

militants have been working for years to bring most of the states of the northeast to

secede from India to become a separate Christian country, even if it means by force and

brutality. For example, few people seem to be aware that in the small state of Tripura

alone, over 10,000 people have been killed in the past 20 years by Christian militants

through what you could call ethnic cleansing. The killing is done to instill fear in those who

are not Christian, or who do not want to separate from India. And these militants are often

supported by the Christian groups who provide money and reasoning for what they do.

Southern Baptist Church forcing conversions at gun point.   The Baptist Church in

southern USA and the Presbyterian Church of the UK fund the Baptist Christian terrorists

that are active in India”s NorthEast.   ExChief Election Commissioner, T.N. Seshan, told

this in a discussion in 1993. the terrorist groups like NLFT.    The Christian Groups in

America that fund armed insurgents in north east India to carry out ethnic cleansing and

killing in India should be declared as terrorist organizations by the Indian government.

Billy Graham well known Baptist leader openly praised the christian naga terrorists who

had killed some 300,000 Hindus in North East.  The Nagas, The NLFT, The NDFB are all

Baptists are christian terrorists and interestingly they all share terrorist camps with

islamists of AlQuaida.  Christianity is the result of a huge conspiracy and is the single

most dangerous organization on earth that caused the death of half a billion humans in the

name of religion.  Islam pales in to insignificance as a terror organization in front of

Christianity with only seventy five million human beheadings to its credit.

As our eminent, progressive, secular, broad-minded, open-minded, liberal and what-not historians can discuss about Rama, Krishna etc., now, perhaps, time has come to discuss about this type of frauds, as they are contemporary and we can get evidences.

Surprisingly, why the historical forums like Indian History Congress, South Indian History Congress, and so many State History Congresses conduct conferences inviting the eminent historians for giving endowment lectures etc., do not bother about such a serious historical frauds, spurious copper plate manufacture, forged-documents and others going on in the name of History?

How it is possible?

Jesus trail in India: A Hollywood movie for Indians!

Jesus married to Mary Magdalene, raised children and died in Kashmir! Perhaps, no true Christian would believe in such stories. Yet, “The Hindu” carries such myths under the guise of “history, theory….” and so on!

Jesus trail in India, The Hindu 20-11-2007

It has to be noted that “The Hindu” has been involved in spreading the “Thomas myth” in India, in one way or the other and now, it lends its promotion to spread the “myth of Jesus in India”! Therefore, the Christian or Catholic hold on the “Mount Road Maha  Vishnu” [as Karunanidhi used to mention] is intriguing.

Film to cover the years left out of the New Testament

Coming up in 2009: The Aquarian Gospel

Action adventure account of Jesus’ lifeNew Delhi: Hollywood is to fill in Jesus’ “missing years” in the Bible with a story about him as a wandering mystic who travelled across India, living in Buddhist monasteries and speaking out against the caste system.

Film producers have delved into revisionist scholarship to piece together what they say was Jesus’ life between the ages of 13 and 30, a period untouched by the gospels.

The result is The Aquarian Gospel, a $20-million movie which portrays Jesus as a holy man and teacher inspired by a myriad of eastern religions in India. The movie takes its name from a century-old book that examined Christianity’s eastern roots and is in its 53rd reprint.

Casting begins

The film’s producers say the movie will be shot using actors and computer animation like 300, the retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae, and will follow the travels of Yeshua, believed to be the name for Jesus in Aramaic, from West Asia to India. Casting for Bollywood and
Hollywood actors has begun.

“The Bible devotes just seven words to the most formative years of Yeshua’s life saying: ‘The boy grew in wisdom and stature’. The [film] will follow Christ’s journey to the east where he encounters other traditions, and discovers the principles that are the bedrock of all the world’s great religions,” said Drew Heriot, the director, whose credits include the cult hit The Secret.

The film, due for release in 2009, sets out to be a fantasy action adventure account of Jesus’ life with the three wise men as his mentors. Although the producers say the film will feature a “young and beautiful” princess, it is not clear whether Jesus in the movie is to have a love interest.

The producers say they are hoping for commercial and spiritual gains. “We think that Indian religions and Buddhism, especially with the idea of meditation, played a big part in Christ’s thinking. In the film we are looking beyond the canonised gospels to the ‘lost’ gospels,” said William Sees Keenan, the producer, who is currently making Lindsay Lohan’s Poor Things. “We are looking at new themes. In our story Jesus was loyal to the untouchables and he defended them with his life by saying that everyone could read the Vedas,” said Mr. Keenan.

The myth-makers and gullible swamis

The myth-makers and gullible swamis

Earlier book

The theory that Jesus’ teachings had roots in Indian traditions has been around for more than a century. In 1894, a Russian doctor, Nicholas Notovitch, published a book The Unknown Life of Christ, in which he claimed that while recovering from a broken leg in a Tibetan monastery in the Ladakh region, close to Kashmir, he had been shown evidence of Christ’s Indian wanderings. He said he was shown a scroll recording a visit by Jesus to
India and to the Tibetan region as a young man. Indian experts claim that documentary proof remains of this visit.

“I have seen the scrolls which show Buddhist monks talking about Jesus’ visits. There are also coins from that period which show Yuzu or have the legend Issa on them, referring to Jesus from that period,” said Fida Hassnain, former director of archaeology at the University of Srinagar.Mr. Hassnain, who has written books on the legend of Jesus in India, says there was extensive traffic between the Mediterranean and India around the time of Jesus’ life. The academic pointed out that in Srinagar a tomb of Issa is still venerated. “It is the Catholic Church which has closed its mind on the subject. Historians have not.”

More dramatic are the claims that Buddhism had prompted the move from the “eye for an eye” ideology of the Old Testament to “love thy neighbour” in the New Testament.

In 1995 a German religious expert, Holger Kersten, claimed that Jesus had been schooled by Buddhist monks to believe in non-violence and to challenge the priesthood. Mr. Kersten’s book is a bestseller in India.

Church’s view

The Catholic Church in India dismisses the film as just “Hollywood filmmakers in search of a new audience rather than the truth.” Aware that religious passions are easily inflamed, after the Da Vinci Code film sparked protests among Indian Christians, its spokesman said that a movie about Jesus in India was “fantasy and fiction.”

“I have personally investigated many of these claims and they remain what they first seem: fiction,” said John Dayal, president of the All India Catholic Union. — © Guardian Newspapers Limited, 2007

Comments:     The Christians give one more opportunity to read and understand the Bible to find out the myths, forgeries and manipulations in making of Christianity. As for as Christianity and Islam is concerned Indians and rather Hindus go by what others say about these non-Hindu, non-Indian religions. As Christians and Muslims have studied, researched and handled Hindu religion, scriptures and Hindus, the Hindus never studied, researched and handled Christianity and Islam. Even at elite, secular or atheist level, an impression has been formed that such study should not or need not be there. Most of the Indians do not know about the “Jesus Myth” – http://www.jesusneverexisted.com/

  • Hollywood can fill in Jesus’ “missing years” or anything in the Bible with a story about him as a wandering mystic or adventurer or revolutionist, but it has no business to spread myths and lies as such motive raise other questions.
  • Indians have to be told clearly that there had never been any historical Jesus and while dealing with mythical Jesus and connected so-called fabricated bibles, there have been many such fables making him to travel to Egypt  and so on, but to bring him to India is totally unimaginable even for Christian mind.
  • To say or claim that he “travelled across India, living in Buddhist monasteries and speaking out against the caste system” etc., as mention clearly expose that the film-makers have other political and social manipulative agenda under the guise of film and myth-making .
  • Film producers with revisionist or any scholarship with $20-million or more can produce any movie, as Indians or Hindus have no match for such sophistication and trickery and they can never produce any counter-movie.
  • It can be a fantasy action adventure account of Jesus’ life with the “three wise men” as his mentors, but such exigency exposes the aiding and abetting the frauds and forgers of many scholars who have been notorious enough to indulging in such shameless act. The Madras Archbishop Arulappa did it with just Rs. 14 lakhs in 1980s, but got red-handed as his accomplice got exposed for his spurious research on the same subject matter!
  • Although the producers say the film will feature a “young and beautiful” princess, it is not clear whether Jesus in the movie is to have a love interest. So what, Mary Magdalene was there according to them!
  • William Sees Keenan, the producer has made another point: “In our story Jesus was loyal to the untouchables and he defended them with his life by saying that everyone could read the Vedas,”! So, he is going to defend the cause of Dalits! All Christians go to take the movie and use for their evangelical activities as a part of their “Liberation Theology”! Pope Gregory, who is very often blamed for nurturing “Caste system” in Indian Christianity for the issue of the Bull would be exonerated as Jesus himself supported the Dalits that to he had been very loyal to them! An Indians or Hindus would hope that William Sees Keenan would print Vedas and circulate everywhere as anyone can read Vedas!
  • From where they got such wonderful and fantastic ideas? It is answered: The theory that Jesus’ teachings had roots in Indian traditions has been around for more than a century. He said he was shown a scroll recording a visit by Jesus to India and to the Tibetan region as a young man. Indian experts claim that documentary proof remains of this visit. And what about the veracity and authenticity of such scrolls?
  • Russian journalist Nicholas Notovitch’s 1894 The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ more modestly claimed to be based on scrolls in a Tibetan lamasery ‘proving” that Christ studied the Veda in India before mastering the Buddhist Scriptures in Kashmir and Tibet. That tale is debunked in The Issa Tale That Will Not Die, Nicholas Notovitch and His Fraudulent Gospel (Lanham: Rowman ” Littlefield 2003) by Louis Fader. http://www.caslon.com.au/forgeryprofile3.htm
  • Just another reference: “A number of religious books–perhaps a dozen or more–mostly written within the last hundred years and purporting to add to the revelation of the Bible. They claim to be based upon genuine documents of Christian antiquity, but every one has been shown by scholars to be a hoax..The Unknown Life of Christ, published in 1894, and written by a Russian named Nicolas Notovitch, on the basis of information he said he received from the chief lama of a Tibetan monastery. It is claimed that Jesus spent the years between thirteen and twenty-nine in India,Tibet, and Persia, and then returned to Palestine. The monks at Tibet denied ever seeing Notovitch or knowing anything about the ancient manuscript about Christ they allegedly showed to him…(Concerning this view of the young adult life of Jesus I have the following questions: (1) Why didn”t the people in Jesus” own hometown know about such supposed travels? Mark 6:2-3 (2) Why did the Son of God need to go to India? To learn?).. The Lost Books of the Bible. This book, published in 1926, is claimed by the publishers to include religious books deliberately kept out of the NT by the early bishops of the Church..It is actually nothing more than a reprint of an edition of the apocryphal NT which had been published in 1820, and an edition of the Apostolic Fathers which had appeared in 1737.” (Zond. Ency. pp. 213-214) This entire article can be seen here: http://www.lincolnavenue.org/grapevine /beavertonLostBooksOfTheNT.html
  • Fida Hassnain, former director of archaeology at the University of Srinagar claims, “I have seen the scrolls which show Buddhist monks talking about Jesus’ visits. There are also coins from that period which show Yuzu or have the legend Issa on them, referring to Jesus from that period”. Mr. Historians have not.” However, why he has not mentioned the full story that Jesus married Mary Magdalene, begot children and died there like men. Note, all these narrations would go against the basic tenets of Christianity, as crucifixion, resurrection, ascension etc., are totally denied here. We do not know as to whether Fida Hassnain has made such comments as Muslim, believer of Quaran or otherwise, as Quaran says Jesus was taken to an elevated place, where waters were flowing and he was survived thereafter. That is he was not crucified! Anyway, it would be interesting for Indians to watch the movie with a lot of romantic theology at the cost of Hollywood!
  • John Dayal, president of the All India Catholic Union claims that “I have personally investigated many of these claims and they remain what they first seem: fiction,” but he has never questioned such frauds already taken place in India!
  • The Catholic Church in India could dismiss the film as just “Hollywood filmmakers in search of a new audience rather than the truth.” Aware that religious passions are easily inflamed, after the Da Vinci Code film sparked protests among Indian Christians, its spokesman said that a movie about Jesus in India was “fantasy and fiction.” But, they cannot be double-speak as in the case of “Inculturation”, “Inter-faith / religious dialogue” etc.
  • Hope Hindus, secular Indians and others have wonderful enjoyment after “Da Vinci Code”! As one Pope claimed, “The Jesus Myth always serve the purpose”!

Meanwhile, we can consult Romila Thapar about the truth as she has already recorded that the biographies of Jesus, Mohammed etc., have been well accepted and so on in “The Hindu” and “Economic and Political Weekly”. We can consult Karunanidhi also so that he would ask so many questions:

  1. How he came to India?
  2. How many days, he took?
  3. How he took Mary Magdalene with him?
  4. In which route he came?
  5. Which vehicle he used?
  6. By cart, bus or plane?
  7. Whether he purchased ticket or not?
  8. Who was the driver and conductor?
  9. Whether they knew driving or not?
  10. Whether they had licence to drive and carry Jesus?
  11. The 17 years period is not a joke. How he spent the time?
  12. He may compose a poem also about his sojourn!
